The best flowers are grown close to home – this idea inspired the creation of the seasonal flower farmers’ market organized by XOstudio FLOWERS. Here, visitors can buy fresh flowers from Moldovan farmers, harvested just a few days or even on the very same day they are cut.
The market grew out of a simple philosophy promoted by the floral studio: to support local growers, remind people that flowers are seasonal and keep their interest in them alive, while also introducing Chișinău residents to the beauty of flowers grown in Moldova.
«Every week brings new varieties, shades and fragrances. We wanted to create a place where people could rediscover seasonal flowers and experience just how beautiful Moldovan flowers are,» says XOstudio FLOWERS founder Alina Tropanets.
Today, the market features gladioli, statice, daisies, tanacetum, sunflowers, molucella («elf’s ears») and other seasonal flowers. One of the studio’s particular points of pride is Moldovan-grown lisianthus, which the studio’s florists especially value for its beauty, longevity and rich fragrance.
The market’s prices are deliberately kept affordable: flowers should be part of everyday life, not just special occasions. After all, even a small bouquet can lift your spirits, fill your home with warmth and convey to someone close to you what can sometimes be difficult to put into words.
The selection is refreshed every week, so every visit to the market is a chance to discover new seasonal flowers and support Moldovan growers.
